Welcome! I am Pradeep Radhakrishnan pursuing my PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing & Design) at the University of Texas at Austin.
I am working in the Automated Design Laboratory of Dr.Matthew I Campbell. My work is in the area of Automated Design of Planar Mechanisms. The idea is to automatically generate conceptual designs that conforms to certain specifications of the designer. Currently, my focus is on path synthesis of planar mechanisms.
Since the focus is on the synthesis of planar mechanisms, the work is titled “MechSynth“.
In this website, you will find
- Overall idea
- Graph Representation and Grammar Rules (you can also download these rules for testing)
- Evaluation (planar kinematic analysis)
- Mechanisms Generated
- Current work
- Publications
I work using a graph representation software named “GraphSynth“, which you may be able to download from bitbucket repository. It is useful to take a look at that since my work is based on this tool.
